We shot a video showing you how to replace this filter in your vehicle. We also have included links to the different versions of cabin filters available for your MK7 model. Charcoal vs Particulate Cabin Filters

A cabin filters job is to remove dust, pollen, leaves and any other debris from entering the HVAC system of your vehicle.  A particulate filter is much like a standard filter.  It performs the basic function of traping the dust pollen a debris from entering your car.  An activated Charcoal filter does all the things the particulate filter does, and a little more.  The acitvated charcoal can prevent fumes and odors from entering into the cabin.  This is accomplished as any fumes or odors passing through the activated chacoal in the cabin filter can be trapped in the charcoal.  This can cut down on any traffic fumes or unpleasant odors around you.
