This plug is used to seal hole between the cylinder head and valve cover. On the 2.0T FSI engine this is found on the passenger side on the engine. On the 2.0T TSI engine this is found on the drivers side of the engine. No matter what application you have for this part it should be replaced whenever it is removed.
