Housing (Cover) for Timing Chain Adjuster and High Pressure Pump Mounting
This metal housing or cover would be found at the back on the cylinder head. This would be on the drivers (Left) side of the engine compartment and it would be bolted to the top of the cylinder head.
This part may sometimes be replaced if the timing chain for the cam chain adjusters breaks causing the broken chain to do damage to this part, or other wear related damage from the cams or high pressure fuel pump. If the threads for the bolts that mount your 2.0T FSI fuel pump have been stripped, this is the part you would need to replace.
