This new B9+ Audi DSG transmission has a service interval of every 40k miles. On this transmission there are no serviceable filters as per Audi. There are 3 internal filters in the transmission, which are not easily accessable. These are not intended to be serviced as per Audi's maintenance schedule. To access these filters you will need to remove the transmission pan, then the mechatronics unit. These filters are found on the top side of the mechatronics unit. In addition special tools are required to properly align the mech unit for reinstallation.
This transmission also has a rearward portion which uses gear oil. This portion of the transmission does not have a service interval, but we would advise considering servicing this portion ever other DSG service.
