Part 1 (The Beginning) of the DAP MK7 GTI Build

I know this build thread is long overdue but we wanted to have a place for people to reference the info.

Over a year ago we purchased a MK7 GTI.  This car was brought on for product development and to serve as a vehicle for us to create high quality videos to help the VW community.  Since the early 2000's I have been a VW enthusiast and I remember what the beginning was like for me.  So many questions about products installs, and what would be the best choice for me to make when modifying my vehicle (an 02 GTI).  At that time VwVortex was really the only place to find any info on this stuff, but even that would often leave anyone who wasn't ingrained in the community lost.  Getting all the info out there to make everything as clear as possible and help everyone make the decision that suits them best is really my goal.  You can spend just about any amount of money modifying a car, which isn't possible for just about anyone.  For me that is really important because I have no interest in trying to convince someone to purchase something them might regret later.  To be clear though if you do purchase we would really appreciate if it was from us, your support helps us to continue to dedicate the resources to bring these videos to the community.

Pure White 2015 MK7 GTI S with a 6 Speed Manual

When we looked for this car we really wanted a non lighting package car as we intended to do a headlight retrofit.  Originally we planned on OEM HIDs because this is so often requested but the harness situation and the cost barrier made us end up going a different direction.  As for the rest of the vehicle the only option I really wanted was the Performance Pack which wouldn't be out for around 8 more months.  The Performance Pack Includes larger brakes (same as Golf R) and an electronic Limited Slip Differential, oh and some sweet front and rear red GTI badges.  Unfortunately we couldn't wait that long so this is what we have.
