Chemical Guys DIRTTRAP - Cyclone Dirt Trap Car Wash Bucket Insert (Black)
The Chemical Guys Cyclone Dirt Trap is a premium bucket insert designed to keep your wash water cleaner and protect your vehicle’s finish. It uses nearly **300 cyclonic funnels** to funnel contaminants downward and trap them beneath the insert—preventing abrasive particles from re-entering the water and onto your wash mitt or sponge.
Features & Benefits
Advanced Cyclone Filtration Technology: funnels dirty water through tiny cyclone passages to separate grit and debris
One-way dirt trap: once particles are forced under the insert, they can’t easily return, reducing the chance of swirl marks and scratches
Textured underside and small holes act as a one-way valve to block dirt from floating back up
Insert includes “Cyclone Scrub Ridges” around each funnel — scrub your mitt on the surface to dislodge and trap bits of dirt
Fits standard 11–12″ wash buckets (insert diameter ≈ 10 5⁄16″)
How to Use
Fill your wash bucket with soap and water as usual.
Place the Cyclone Dirt Trap insert at the bottom of the bucket.
Wash your car using the two-bucket or one-bucket method, dipping the wash mitt into the soapy bucket above the insert.
Rub your mitt lightly on the insert’s surface to agitate and dislodge embedded dirt into the trap below.
Do not stir or swirl water inside the bucket; let the insert do the filtering.
Rinse the insert periodically to clear out accumulated debris.
Using the Cyclone Dirt Trap helps maintain microlayer cleanliness in your wash water—minimizing the risk of swirl marks, scratches, and marring on your vehicle’s paint.
