The valve body is the electronic control of the transmission. Inside the valve body are passages for transmission oil to flow. The flow of the oil is designated by the solenoids on the valve body. When this part starts to fail you might experience rough or eratic shifting. This may be a result of a failing solenoid inside the transmission. Please note that the solenoid are not sold individually and the entire valve body must be replaced.
