The accessory bracket on the GEN 3 1.8t and 2.0t engine have coolant and oil running through it. This can create leaks requiring replacement of the gasket between the accessory bracket and the engine block. To access this you would remove the Alternator, and A/C compressor, allowing you access to the bracket.
While not a ton, there is some overlap between this job and a water pump replacement. Since the water pumps are more failure prone it may be worth considering replacing the water pump at the same time.
